The repair process

   Intake and free diagnosis

   We confirm the symptoms with you and run a full diagnostic to make sure the screen is truly the problem and not an underlying board or connector fault. We also note any existing damage and quote the exact part and turnaround before any work begins.

2. 2

   Back up your data first

   Screen replacement does not erase your data, but we always recommend a fresh backup to iCloud, Google, or a computer before any repair as a safeguard. If your touchscreen is unresponsive and you cannot back up, let us know and we will advise on options.

   💡 A recent backup means total peace of mind no matter what type of repair you need.

3. 3

   Powered down and controlled heating

   We power the device off and apply gentle, temperature-controlled heat around the edges to soften the adhesive that holds the screen in place. Even, controlled heat is essential to loosen the seal without warping the frame or stressing internal components.

   💡 The right temperature is a balance: too little won't release the glue, too much can damage the display.

4. 4

   Careful opening and battery disconnect

   Using a suction cup and thin picks, we create a small gap and work slowly around the perimeter to separate the screen without cracking the frame or nicking cables. Once open, disconnecting the battery first is a critical safety step that protects the board from shorts during the rest of the repair.

   💡 On many models the display opens like a book toward a hinge of cables, so direction matters to avoid tearing flex connectors.

5. 5

   Remove the damaged display

   We disconnect the display and digitizer connectors and detach the old screen assembly from the frame. On models where brackets, shields, or components like the earpiece and sensors are attached, we carefully transfer them to the new display when required.

   💡 Keeping every screw and bracket organized by position ensures nothing is left over or misplaced during reassembly.

6. 6

   Install and test the new screen

   We seat the new display, reconnect the flex cables, and reconnect the battery, then power on to test before sealing. We verify touch response across the whole panel, brightness and color, and features such as front camera, sensors, and True Tone or adaptive display where the model supports them.

   💡 Testing before sealing lets us catch any issue immediately, so nothing has to be reopened later.

7. 7

   Reseal, reassemble, and final QC

   Once tests pass, we apply fresh adhesive to restore the dust and water resistance the phone was designed for, then press and secure the screen and reinstall any brackets and screws. A final quality check confirms alignment, a flush fit, clean glass, and full functionality before we hand it back.
